I was born in Malaysia with Chinese heritage, and my perspective has been shaped by living and working across different places — Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, and now Singapore. These experiences have given me a broader way of seeing people, culture, brands, and creativity.
After an invigorating sabbatical, I moved into self-employment in the creative field. This shift has allowed me to explore a wider range of work, build on my strengths, and apply my experience in a more flexible and hands-on way.
As a hands-on and adaptable creative professional, I bring together art direction, brand thinking, visual storytelling, production experience, and creative problem-solving. My background spans multinational companies, SMEs, and independent projects, giving me the ability to lead, support, collaborate, and stay close to the craft.
I believe good creative work should do more than look visually appealing. It should have a clear idea, serve a purpose, and connect with people in a meaningful way. Having worked across different cultures and markets, I’ve learned to stay open, thoughtful, and adaptable in how I approach each brief.
I’m also actively exploring how AI can support and enhance the creative process. I see AI not as a replacement for human ideas, taste, or instinct, but as a useful tool to sharpen thinking, speed up workflows, and open up new creative possibilities.
Beyond my professional work, I co-founded FreshlyPressed, a creative venture that has taught me valuable lessons in building a brand from the ground up — from product and design to storytelling, customer engagement, and the realities of running a business.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about trends, art, crafts, gadgets, technology, animation, and gaming. I’m an avid gamer with multiple consoles, a competitive Street Fighter 6 player, a badminton enthusiast, and a cycling adventurer who enjoys exploring new places on two wheels. These interests keep me curious, disciplined, playful, and constantly inspired.
At the core, I enjoy working with good people, shaping ideas together, and creating work that is thoughtful, relevant, and memorable.
